Ensure that your health plan covers affordable therapy treatment.
Encourage and model taking mental health days off from work to recover from stressful or traumatic life events.
Promote an active lifestyle, which has been shown to help cope with and reduce stress. Stress can exacerbate mental illness. If an individual is unable to cope with stress well, it can begin to manifest in physical reactions such as increased heart rate, headache, muscle tension, sleep problems and upset stomach.
Provide access to a sleep wellness program. If individuals aren’t getting enough sleep, they may have difficulty coping with stressors and regulating their emotions.
